Full casting is now confirmed for the West End Transfer of the National Theatre?s sell-out production of Michael Morpurgo?s War Horse, adapted by Nick Stafford. War Horse will run at the New London Theatre from 28 March booking until 26 September with press night on 3 April.

A new production, the downtown premiere, of STRAIGHT ON TIL MORNING opens January 28th at the Gene Frankel Theatre. STRAIGHT ON TIL MORNING mashes up the tale of Peter Pan, the cold calm secrets of author JM Barrie and the neighborhood everyone loves to hate - Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and offers a glimpse of the addictive fervor that was tangible before the cranes came in. Before the pool held concerts. Before the TastyD on Bedford. Part Indie Rock aficionado, part dive-bar junky, the play follows Peter and his cohorts over the course of a 24 hour period as the past comes back, the future seems boring and The Now wins out. Only today, in the rapidly changing playground of Williamsburg, could a play written in 2003 then produced in 2009 be considered a PERIOD PIECE, but that's exactly what this new production of STRAIGHT ON TIL MORNING is.

The Houston Chapter of the American Marketing Association has recognized Theatre Under The Stars as Houston's 2008 Marketer of the Year in the Performing Arts category. The Marketer of the Year award recognizes Houston companies, organizations, and institutions for their outstanding marketing efforts. Best of category winners will be recognized and presented their awards at a reception to be held at 5:30 p.m. on March 2, 2009 in the Alley Theatre's Hubbard Stage. At this event, the company selected by an out of state panel of judges to be Houston's overall 2008 Marketer of the Year will be announced. All best of category winners are in competition for this honor. The new UK musical Daydream Believer, based off of the story of 60's pop group The Monkees has now been cancelled. Today the show's producers stated, 'It is with regret that, due to unforeseen circumstances, the production of Daydream Believer has been cancelled for the foreseeable future.' Rumor has been circulating that it is because of poor initial ticket sales.

The world premiere of the new musical Daydream Believer will take place at the Theatre Royal Plymouth where will it play a limited run starting on August 26th and run through September 6th.

A new stage version of James L. Brooks' 1983 drama Terms of Endearment will have its world premiere in the UK

Some of Broadway's finest take over Sarofim Hall stage on Thursday, April 28 to salute one of Broadway's most prolific writing teams, John Kander and Fred Ebb, during Theatre Under The Stars' 2005 American Musical Theatre Awards. The longest-running music-and-lyrics partnership in Broadway musical history, Kander and Ebb have created such revered musicals as Chicago, Cabaret, Kiss of the Spider Woman and Steel Pier, among others.
