HERE LIES JENNY, the smash theatrical event starring two-time Tony and Emmy Award winner Bebe Neuwirth and featuring the music of Kurt Weill will play San Francisco's Post Street Theatre (450 Post Street) for a strictly limited engagement, with previews on Sunday, May 1st and Monday, May 2nd, and a press opening on Tuesday, May 3, 2005. Presented by The Zipper Theatre, Brent Peek and Maria Di Dia, HERE LIES JENNY is conceived and directed by Tony Award winner Roger Rees, features choreography by Tony Award winner Ann Reinking and has music direction and supervision by Leslie Stifelman. Tickets for HERE LIES JENNY go on sale Friday, April 8th at the Post Street Theatre box office, by phone at 415-771-6900 and on the web at www.ticketmaster.com.

In HERE LIES JENNY, Jenny, following her guiding star, roams the dark city streets and, drawn in by its haunting music, she tumbles down into a dock-side gin joint. As she gives herself to the spinning songs - and to the darkly handsome men that have now fallen under her spell - Jenny confronts the romantic pulse of her poignant, funny and turbulent existence. As she and her lovesick companions beat out the soundtrack of her life on the worn wooden floors, Jenny discovers a strength that even she didn't know she had - the courage to face the dawning of another day.

HERE LIES JENNY features the music of Kurt Weill with the lyrics of Bertolt Brecht, Roger Fernay, Ira Gershwin, Langston Hughes, Alan Jay Lerner, Maurice Magre, Ogden Nash, Franz Werfel and Kurt Weill.

HERE LIES JENNY played Off-Broadway's Zipper Theatre (336 West 37th Street) from May 7 – October 3, 2004. Originally presented by Maria Di Dia, Kathryn Frawley, Hugh Hayes, Martin Platt and The Zipper Theatre, HERE LIES JENNY's original 35-performance limited engagement was extended twice due to popular demand.

The remaining cast members for HERE LIES JENNY will be announced shortly. HERE LIES JENNY has scenic design by Neil Patel, costume design by Kaye Voyce, lighting design by Frances Aronson and sound design by Tony Meola.

HERE LIES JENNY will play San Francisco's Post Street Theatre (450 Post Street, ? block west of Union Square) Sunday, May 1st through Wednesday, May 25th. There will be two reduced priced preview performances on Sunday, May 1st at 7 p.m. and Monday, May 2nd at 8 p.m., with a press opening on Tuesday, May 3rd at 8 p.m. The regular performance schedule is: Tuesday through Friday evenings at 8 p.m., Saturday evenings at 5 p.m. and 9 p.m., and Sunday matinees at 3 p.m. There will be no performance on Wednesday, May 4th and two added evening performances Sunday, May 22 at 7 p.m. and Monday, May 23rd at 8 p.m. Tickets for HERE LIES JENNY range in price from $35 - $55 and are available beginning Friday, April 8th at The Post Street Theatre Box Office, by phone at 415-771-6900 and on the web at www.ticketmaster.com.
