Transcendence Theatre's Broadway Under The Stars in Jack London State Park opens on June 28th with the first concert of the summer season entitled Fly Me To The Moon.

Fly Me To The Moon is a Broadway concert featuring established Broadway performers from New York and Los Angeles that journeys through the uplifting, inspiring and carefree messages behind some of the greatest tunes of Broadway and the Great American Songbook. Inspired by the unique and brash optimism of the American musical, this show is all about soaring beyond the usual limits through music.

Some Broadway performers scheduled to perform are:

Carrie Manolakos who returns for her second season with TTC has starred as "Sophie" in Broadway's Mamma Mia and "Elphaba" on the National Tour ofWicked. Recently she was positioned in the top 100 of the iTunes pop charts with her debut album "Echo." Carrie was voted Elle Magazine's 30 Under 30: Essential Names to Know (Voted #1 by readers). In addition to performing in Fly Me To The Moon, Carrie will help TTC kick off their new Transcendence Artist Series by doing a one night concert at the Benziger Family Winery's Wine Cave on July 13th.

Nili Bassman, is returning to Sonoma for a second season. Nili has performed in the original company of Curtains and Never Gonna Dance on Broadway, as well as playing "Hunyak" in the Broadway production of Chicago, www.nilibassman.com

Q Smith just finished playing "Miss Andrew" in the final Broadway cast of Mary Poppins and seen also on Broadway in Les Miserables www.Qperstar.com

Carrie, Nili, and Q will join 14 other Broadway and Hollywood actors scheduled to perform who will be singing songs from Broadway's greatest composers, including Rodgers & Hammerstein, Stephen Sondheim, George Gershwin, Andrew Lloyd Webber and more. This concert is guaranteed to leave audiences shooting for the moon!

A portion of the proceeds from each concert will benefit Jack London State Park and help in the effort to keep the recently threatened park open. Each evening will feature preshow picnicking and wine on the great lawn in the park with each concert beginning before sunset in the majestic open-air winery ruins.
