Celebrating its 35th anniversary, Chanticleer, the only full-time classical vocal ensemble in the United States, has developed a remarkable reputation for its vivid interpretations of vocal literature, from Renaissance to jazz and from gospel to venturesome new music. With its seamless blend of twelve male voices, ranging from exquisitely pure countertenor to rich bass, the San Francisco-based group has earned international renown as "an orchestra of voices."

Keola Beamer is a Hawaiian legend who has stretched the boundaries of slack key guitar music while remaining true to the soul of its deeply Hawaiian roots. Jeff Peterson is a rising star of the next generation of slack key players, who uses the style's open tunings to explore multiple genres with ease and flair.Together, they present an evening of superb guitar that explores the beauty of Hawai'ian music as it reflects its native land, the range of Hawai'i's many cultural influences, and the complexity of technique that has shaped the distinctively resonant sounds of Hawai'i.

They are joined by lovely dancer Moanalani Beamer, who brings hula and Hawai'ian chants to the stage, and adds musical texture with ancient Hawaiian instruments.

Whether in the streets or on stage in the most prestigious theatres, the dancers and musicians of DanceBrazil never fail to enthrall audiences with the company's unique fusion of Afro-Brazilian movement, contemporary dance and Capoeira, the traditional dance/martial arts form that had its origins in Africa and evolved in colonial Brazil as a means of fighting enslavement.
