No Bully Raises Over $75,000 at BROADWAY AGAINST BULLYING Holiday Cabaret

With the help of stars from some of Broadway's biggest hit musicals – including Kinky Boots, Wicked, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, Hairspray and GHOST The Musical – No Bully raised over $75,000 at the first-ever "Broadway Against Bullying" holiday cabaret which took place on Monday, December 3 at Club Fugazi, home of Steve Silver's Beach Blanket Babylon.

"Thanks to the generous support of our world-class talent, our corporate sponsors and individual donors, No Bully will be able to partner with more schools across the nation and provide them with a system for preventing and stopping student bullying," said Nicholas Carlisle, Executive Director of No Bully.

Performers for the fun-filled, holiday-themed evening included Nick Adams (Priscilla, Queen of the Desert; A Chorus Line), Paul Canaan (Legally Blonde; Kinky Boots; La Cage aux Folles), Ellyn Marie Marsh (Priscilla, Queen of the Desert; Kinky Boots; Enron), Mike McGowan (Priscilla, Queen of the Desert; The Producers), Bryce Pinkham (GHOST The Musical; Bloody, Bloody Andrew Jackson), Billy Porter (Kinky Boots; Angels in America; Grease), Tory Ross (Dolly Parton's 9 to 5 The Musical; Wicked; Kinky Boots), Constantine Rousouli (GHOST The Musical; Hairspray). Brian Usifer (25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee; Kinky Boots; Altar Boyz) served as Musical Director.

Throughout the evening, cast members shared personal experiences about being bullied themselves. The evening also served as a tribute to the more than 40 young people who have ended their lives because of bullying and/or cyber-bullying since the beginning of this school year, including 16 year-old Kyle Wells from Wyoming, 14 year-old David Phan from Utah, and 17 year-old Joshua Pacheco from Michigan.

The live auction featured several one-of-a-kind items including a New York City package featuring roundtrip tickets to New York City on Virgin Airlines, a two-night stay at the Gansevoort Hotel, tickets to Kinky Boots on Broadway and drinks with the cast after the performance. An online auction was also held in conjunction with the cabaret. Once-in-a-lifetime items available included two tickets to the 2013 Tony Awards and Gala, two tickets to the 2013 Emmy Awards with tickets to the after party, two tickets to a taping of "Saturday Night Live" in New York City, dinner for 10 at Dinner NOBU 57 in New York or NOBU LA, two tickets to The Book of Mormon on Broadway with a backstage tour following the show, and more.
