Multi-award winning Foothill Music Theatre presents Herbert and Dorothy Fields and Irving Berlin's sharp-shootin', rootin'-tootin', wild-west musical, Annie Get Your Gun. "Based on the life of sharpshooter Annie Oakley, the story revolves around a tomboy from the hills who joins Buffalo Bill's traveling Wild West Show, and ultimately meets her match in love, and gunfire, with the show's featured shooting ace Frank Butler," according to press notes.
Director Jay Manley helms this action-packed take on Peter Stone's 1999 acclaimed Broadway Revival, with musical direction by Catherine Snider and chorography by Tyler Risk. Featuring a live orchestra and a cast of 40, Annie Get Your Gun boasts some of Irving Berlin's most unforgettable songs including "There's No Business Like Show Business," "Anything You Can Do," and "I Got the Sun in the Morning."
Annie Get Your Gun begins performances July 28, with press openings July 29 and July 30, and its closing show August 20. Performances are Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8:00PM and Sundays at 2:00PM at the Smithwick Theatre at Foothill College, located at 12345 El Monte Rd, Los Altos Hills.
