Rita Moreno will host the KQED Public Television 9 broadcasts of four San Francisco opera productions, examiner.com reports.

The series will include Giacomo Puccini's MADAMA BUTTERFLY, starring Patricia Racette, on August 26; Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's DON GIOVANNI, starring Mariusz Kwiecien, on September 2; Puccini's LA RONDINE, starring Angela Gheorghiu, on September 16; and Camille Saint-Saëns's SAMSON AND DALILAH, starring Olga Borodina and Clifton Forbis, on September 23.  Each will be shown at 8pm and will be repeated over the following days.

Rita Moreno is one of only ten artists to win a Tony Award (for THE RITZ), an Academy Award (for 'West Side Story'), a Grammy Award (for 'The Electric Company'), and an Emmy Award (one for 'The Muppet Show' and one for 'The Rockford Files').  Moreno's many other credits include Broadway's THE LAST OF THE RED HOT LOVERS, GANTRY, and THE ODD COUPLE, as well as 'Singin' in the Rain,' 'The King and I,' 'Summer and Smoke,' and 'Oz.'
