SSU students admitted FREE to all performances

PRODUCER: Sonoma State University Department of Theatre Arts and Dance

WHAT: "Rock 'n' Roll"
By Tom Stoppard

Have you ever loved someone... but hated what they believed in?

This critically acclaimed play by Tom Stoppard incorporates history, politics, social and cultural commentary, family dynamics and a love story with a timeline of rock and roll classics as it contrasts a young Czech student and his British Marxist professor against the backdrop of Prague Spring leading to the Velvet Revolution.

Set in Cambridge, England and Prague, Czechoslovakia from 1968 to 1989 - the Czech-born British playwright's "Rock 'n' Roll" features the music of Pink Floyd, Beatles, Rolling Stones, Doors, The Velvet Underground and the Czech rock band The Plastic People of the Universe.
