Biting wit, splitting comedy, painful truths and hysterical life stories (and even a few parody songs thrown in) makes the stage show everything his radio show is and more. Karel is the host of the syndicated "The Karel Show" heard in San Francisco on KKGN Green960, Santa Cruz/Monterey on KRXA 540 AM, KYNS San Luis Obispo and KJRB Spokane. He has had #1 talk shows at Citadel/ABC's flagship station, KGO AM 810 San Francisco (#1 overall station) and for KFI AM 640 Los Angeles. Entertainment reporter and film critic for KNX 1070 Los Angeles (CBS), panelist on major news shows, columnist for the HuffingtonPost.com and fill in host for the likes of Bill Press on his national show, columnist for magazines such as Billboard and Advocate, his book of essays "You Can't Say That" published by Alyson Press was called one of the most biting of its time. His music is available at iTunes and other online stores and he maintains a blog, podcasts and message boards at www.thekarelshow.com. But it's the Karel that's live and on stage that is an instant sensation for anyone that sees him. Unafraid and uninhibited, Karel attacks the stage using current events as a springboard for comedy that has been compared to some of the greatest political and social satirists of all time. Harold Jones, Andy Simpkins, Gerry Wiggins, Bill Cunliffe, Red Mitchell, Buster Cooper, Nat Pierce, and many others.
